Getting medications without prescriptions

A while back, someone mentioned getting antibiotics, etc., without a doctor's Rx.

I wanted to give a thumbs up for 4-Corners Pharmacy that was mentioned in that thread. I have had two orders from that company and they are great!:23_28_100s:

NEVER take an antibiotic unless you have a full-on infection.

Re: Getting medications without prescriptions

having antibiotics has saved my ass from $1000 emergency room visits on 2 occasions.

in one case i sliced my left foot about 5/8" deep between 2 of the toes. stubbed it on a f'ing solar panel reflector.

i took Penicillin to make sure it didn't get infected. in that case, my use of penicillin was prophylactic.

i also had a doctor take a look at my frontier medicine duct tape job 2 days later. told me i did a good job duct taping my foot, that i had no apparent infection. charged $119 for that opinion.

the other case i had a lung infection brought on by inhaling water, a near-drowning experience, swimming pool mishap. having inhaled similar amounts of water a few other times in life & not getting an infection, i was quite surprised when 2 days later i was on my back coughing up 1 or 2 pounds of mucus a day. i took Cephalexin for about 3 days, leftover but still within date code.

i highly recommend having within date code antibiotics around, and educating yourself about "prophylactic use" - one of the ways that you can end up with anti-biotic resistant bacteria.

I never said I ordered antibiotics. My orders were in the "etc" category.

Not to knock you at all, but I personally would never order from this paticular website.

This is a generic site, ran by a company who has hundreds of sites. The only diffrence is the name, logo design, and the color scheme on the page. It may be part of an affiliate program. The company is based out of India, and some of these drugs could be tainted or completely counterfiet.

You must have 4 Corners confused with another company. they are based in Vanuatu, not India.

I made the original recommendation for 4 Corners on GIM. I have been buying from them for 10+ years, never a problem, always 100% first class customer service.

Most of the drugs they sell are manufactured for the Australia/New Zealand market, not India. Everything comes in sealed package. I'd trust 4 Corners over my local Waldo-World mega-pharmacy any day.

Thanks they have something I was gonna try to get a script for; but I am always hesitant to order from an online place. Thanks for the endorsement.

Thanks for the recommendation. I placed and order with them and it came in 2 weeks later just as advertised. Added something to the preps stockpile. Will definitely use them again.

I've read that although antibiotics are not a first line defense against any virus, that many people attacked by a virus develop secondary bacterial issues so to have some handy in this event might be helpful.

amazon has a great assortment of fish antibiotics..

you can get everything form amoxicillin, cephalexin, tetracycline, cipro and Metronidazole. They even have antibiotic eye ointment...

Remember when self prescribing that different antibiotics treat different conditions. Find an online guide and print it out so you have it. You really need all of the above antibiotics as they treat different things. Also keep allergic reactions in mind.

Speaking of that, that is why I ordered a bottle of Prednisone from that online pharmacy. It seems like a good multiple-use item to have in one's preps and it is not expensive.

Probably, it is used for severe allergic reactions and a whole host of other issues. I linked to the wiki page on it above. I was prescribed it a month ago when I had a severe allergic reaction to something unknown, a reaction I had never had before. The prednisone immediately alleviated the effects. I then decided it was be a good idea to have it on hand, should it happen again. My MIL (a nurse) agreed and called it a multi purpose wonder drug.

Quote:

Prednisone can, therefore, be used in autoimmune diseases, inflammatory diseases (such as severe asthma, severe allergies, angioedema episodes, severe urushiol-induced contact dermatitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, Bell's palsy, Crohn's disease, pemphigus and sarcoidosis), uveitis, various kidney diseases including nephrotic syndrome, mononucleosis Epstein-Barr virus, and to prevent and treat rejection in organ transplantation. Prednisone has also been used in the treatment of migraine headaches and cluster headaches and for severe aphthous ulcer ("Cankersore") outbreaks. It can also be used to treat autoimmune pancreatitis.

Prednisone is used as an antitumor drug. Prednisone is very important in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Non-Hodgkin lymphomas, Hodgkin's lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and other tumors in combination with other anticancer drugs.

prednisone is a very serious and powerful drug. It is way over kill for poison ivy. Its used for life threatening allergic reactions and a host of autoimmune disorders. It a complicated drug and has to be used correctly or you can have a steroid crash coming off of it too soon.

It is a very valuable drug to have during SHTF because of risk of things like snake bits or life threatening allergic reactions. For an immediate allergic reaction to a drug or insect bite that caused the threat of death you would want what is called an Epipen. You might Eb able to get your Doctor to right an prescriton for an epipen if you tell him you had a serious reaction to a bee sting..

I can not stress enough if you are going to own these drugs to download all material concerning what conditions they treat , the dosages for each condition and what the side effects are. If computers go down we wont have the information...

Also remember that most pills and capsules can be stored past expiration date in a dry cool place. One exception is Tetracycline... It is dangerous to use when it gets old..Also never take an antibiotic without making sure you are eating yogurt.

Super Saver Meds is another great company. They are in India, but their meds are high quality (and believe me, I'd know by now if they weren't), and their service is extremely reliable.

Would you please explain why? I am guessing it has something to do with the good bacteria we need to digest foods and them getting killed by the antibiotic. The yogurt provides a new supply? Or is it something else?

Kill off all the bacteria and fungi and yeast will not have any counterbalance. Things such as thrush mouth and other yeast infections are very common when taking strong antibiotics.

the yogurts help rebalance.

Acidophilus. You can buy it in pill form over the counter. It's saved me several times. Antibiotics kill off all the good bacteria (gut flora) in the stomach and can cause terrible cramps and digestive pain. A few days of acidophilus made me like new again :applause_
